About the Artists

Spencer Lee Boya, FRSA
Spencer Lee Boya is a multi-disciplinary artist and the CEO of Boxing is Love, a charity supporting at-risk youths through boxing-centric educational programs.

A graduate of King’s College, Cambridge, Spencer received prestigious awards for musical performance, including the Derek Cornwell Scholarship, the Susan Tomes Music Prize, and the Provost’s Prize. He was Co-President of the King’s College Music Society and Conductor of the King’s College Symphony Orchestra.

Spencer’s compositions for film and TV have been featured at Academy- and BAFTA-qualifying festivals in Tokyo, Berlin, Los Angeles, Dublin, and more. Recent highlights include a commissioned piece with poet Mary Jean Chan at the Fitzwilliam Museum, and his string orchestra work An Ephemeral Bagatelle at the Royal Academy of Music. His original music Gabrielle played three sold-out concerts in London, earning acclaim from China Daily and Shenzhen Daily.

Shelly
Shelly is a London-based clarinettist and composer, and winner of the Williamson Music Prize. She studied at Selwyn College, Cambridge, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Goldsmiths, University of London.

She began her musical journey as principal clarinettist with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong, performing Mahler, Shostakovich, and more. Shelly’s compositions have been performed at prestigious venues including the Royal Academy of Music, King’s College London, and George Wood Theatre. She is also a multi-instrumentalist, playing cello and piano, and serves as Director of Programmes at Boxing is Love.
