Tell us about yourself. What are some things people might not know about you?

Well, one thing you might not know about me is I actually have a Master’s degree in engineering!

When did you join, and what does your job entail?

I've been with 116 Pall Mall for a while now, and it's been quite a journey. I was here during the pandemic, when everything changed, and I found myself stepping into a management role. When Searcys joined 116 Pall Mall as the in-house catererin 2021, I became both a retail manager and a business centre manager, which keeps me quite busy juggling two key departments.

What is a behind-the-scenes moment at 116 that you favour, or is very special to you?

One of the best parts of my day is when I walk into the office. I like to see happy faces - just smiles all around. We like to do Employee of the Month which always adds a bit of excitement. We all gather, cast our votes, and announce the winner, and it's so lovely seeing our team members at 116 Pall Mall appreciated and recognised for their efforts, it’s really nice to see.

What is your favourite type of event to do at 116 Pall Mall? What makes it so special?

I'd have to say that we do a brilliant Afternoon Tea. It's amazing to see people from all over the world enjoying this unique experience. Plus, we offer tours of the building, and each space here has its own unique charm. Our Afternoon Teas give me a chance to share the hidden gems of 116.

What's something about 116 Pall Mall that makes it stand out from other spaces or venues for you?

To me, 116 Pall Mall has a soul, and you can feel it. The building itself is a piece of history, and the art as well as the garden hidden right in the centre of London are secrets not many know about. It's a destination so full of character. The story of the building has always amazed me, and you can find out why via our history page.

Wine or Champagne?

Champagne for me, without a doubt.

What would you say are your favourite dishes in 116 Pall Mall?

For me, it has to be the classic Searcys Club Sandwich from our business lounges. It's been a favourite since day one, and it's still a top pick even two years later! You can also now book a spot in our Carlton Lounge for a day – a perfect location for a busy schedule.

Is there a specific corner or spot within 116 Pall Mall that holds a special place for you or is very important?

I have a soft spot for the Waterloo room. It's especially magical in the afternoon when you can see Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall, and the heart of the city. During Christmas, when we decorate, the place truly comes alive, and the view is a showstopper

As a retail manager, what do you consider the most important qualities or skills for your front-of-house colleagues?

I always stress the importance of people skills, communication, and a keen awareness of your surroundings. Going the extra mile and having a can-do attitude is a must. At 116 Pall Mall, we pride ourselves on being a unique and exclusive destination, and our staff embody that spirit every day.
