A Year of Innovation and Celebration at 116 Pall Mall

As we come to the end of yet another remarkable year at 116 Pall Mall, it’s good to look back at the past 12 months, and the highlights that defined our 2023. Welcoming 176,000+ visitors over the year, 116 Pall Mall has once again proven itself as the perfect central London destination, and the ideal stage for unforgettable moments, professional milestones, and special experiences.

Over the past year, our venue has played host to impressive 472 private events. From elegant weddings, opulent soirées, parties to remember and intimate dinners, our venue has been the backdrop for countless new experiences and great memories.

Looking after 1380 meetings, 116 Pall Mall has become synonymous with collaboration, learning and networking providing the ideal contemporary environment for supporting business and innovation. It is safe to say 116 Pall Mall has become a key destination on London's hospitality scene.

In our Lounges, Champagne Bar, and Brasserie, we've brewed over 23,000 cups of coffee and 15,000 cups of tea, as well as hosted a series of delightful Afternoon Tea events that left an enduring impression on our guests. We were privileged to have three visits from the London Chamber Orchestra (LCO) including a St Patrick’s Day Concert and a summertime opera performance with Charlotte Bowden, bringing an exciting new 116 Pall Mall experience to our guests.

True to Searcys heritage and its links with the world’s most famous drink, our team also hosted a series of fascinating Champagne Masterclasses, focusing on topics from royal connections to the intriguing world of Ladies of Champagne. Hosted in our underground Champagne Bar these masterclasses became a real highlight of the year, offering an immersive journey into the world of Champagne.

In May 2023, 116 Pall Mall opened its doors for two special events to celebrate the Coronation, hosting a unique LCO concert of music associated with the Royal occasions, featuring the renowned performer Aga Serugo-Lugo accompanied by Searcys Afternoon Tea, as well as a Coronation themed Champagne Pairing dinner transporting attendees into a world of regal charm on such a historic occasion.

One of our standout private events of the year was hosting the fantastic two-day extravaganza Good Housekeeping Live, an event that brought the magazine to life at 116 Pall Mall. It was a celebration of all things lifestyle, wellness, art and talent, and acted as the perfect showcase of our venue’s versatility, adaptability, and style.

Furthermore, in 2023 we marked the amazing legacy of 120 Years of the Institute of Directors (IoD), it was another truly momentous occasion for us at 116 Pall Mall. We reflected on the IoD's impressive history, looking back at its success and enduring impact over the decades, as well as recognising its vital role in shaping the landscape of business and leadership across the UK and internationally.

On the digital landscape, we’ve seen considerable growth of our online reach, with over 1,100 event enquiries received through our website and a remarkable 85,000+ website visits. Across social media, 116 Pall Mall social media profiles enjoyed 400,000 impressions 28,000 engagements and 700+ posts. Thank you all for following our journey, your likes and comments!

In a year filled with unforgettable moments, we have also been recognised at the London Venue and Catering Awards, where our venue won the Best Historic Venue, while our Retail Manager Laura Klingiene received a Searcys Long Service Award for her incredible 20+ years of service at 116.

A huge thank you to all our teams and guests who contributed to making this year truly special for 116 Pall Mall, and we very much look forward to sharing our 2024 with you!
