Last November, 116 Pall Mall became a stunning backdrop for an amazing fantastic two-day extravaganza consumer show – Good Housekeeping Live. Welcoming over 300 guests, the renowned magazine and Good Housekeeping brand were brought to life in our elegant venue decking out almost every room in a spectacular and all-encompassing showcase of everything lifestyle, wellness, fashion, business, homeware and more.

116 was the perfect choice for such an exciting and impressive event to unfold, with the venue beautifully decorated and styled from top to bottom, and the staircase a thoroughfare of activity. The versatility of our venue, coupled with the dedication of the team, played a pivotal role in making the event such a resounding success.

Every corner of 116 Pall Mall was meticulously considered and branded to align with Good Housekeeping's distinctive style and vision. From the flag displayed over the building to signage throughout the first and second floors in Good Housekeeping colours, the entire venue was transformed.

One of the key advantages of hosting events at 116 Pall Mall is our unbeatable location in the heart of St. James's. A mere five-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus and Charing Cross station, our venue's accessibility adds another layer of appeal to our already exceptional building.

Turning our attention to the food and drinks on offer, The GH Café, situated in the Directors' Lounge and supplied by our in-house caterer Searcys, was a standout feature. Offering Good Housekeeping’s bespoke selection of soft drinks, lunch options, and sweet treats, the GH Café was the perfect spot for guests to pause and recharge. Then in the afternoon, wine and Searcys Champagne were available, offering an extra treat for attendees of the event.

Another memorable feature was created in collaboration with Cunard, who created a Gin Parlour in St James 2. This innovative setup was another great instance in showcasing the adaptability of our venue, with our grand historic frames offsetting their branding, creating a striking look that perfectly suited the theme of the space.

Such transformations of so many of our spaces were a testament to the adaptability and impressive impact of 116 Pall Mall as an events venue. From the Morning Room's mock Dyson kitchen, and DFS Lounge in the Directors’ Lounge to the Burton Room hosting Q+A sessions with esteemed guests like Michel Roux, each area was brimming with unique sectional focuses, intricately orchestrated by our events team, all echoing Good Housekeeping's concept and diverse themes.

The Nash Room, a gem of our venue, stood out as Good Housekeeping Live’s focal point. Set up in theatre style and capable of hosting up to 300 guests, it provided the best backdrop for a range of famous speakers like Mary Berry, Michael Palin and Shirley Ballas. With floral arrangements all complementing the gilded details and blue hues of the Nash Room, it was a truly picturesque setting.

This dynamic and exciting event at 116 Pall Mall was the model example of the extent of what our incredible venue can offer, and it was a real pleasure getting to host.
